TRC History
The Registrar Company, Inc. (TRC) was established in 1996 and accredited by the Registrar Accreditation Board (RAB) in 1997. The RAB is now known as the ANSI-ASQ National
Accreditation Board or ANAB. TRC provides 3rd party assessment services to organizations seeking registration of their ISO 9001:2000 compliant quality management systems and '2nd party' assessment services for registration of AS 9100 aerospace quality management systems.
In 1999, TRC was purchased by Makor Management, LLC and moved to Dallas, Texas. In 2005, in an effort to continue growing and supporting our commitment to our customers,
Makor turned ownership of TRC over to Aerocert, Inc. Aerocert, Inc. will be backing TRC's efforts to add aerospace standards to its accreditation in early 2006. TRC's
Advisory Board, provides TRC with over 300 years of experience and know-how in quality management system development, implementation and registration.
A well developed and implemented system can benefit a business in many ways. At TRC we believe that maintaining a quality management system should be a value-added
part of an organization's business management process. With this in mind, TRC ensures that each assessment generates feedback that will assist in improving the QMS
and the business processes.
Accreditation
TRC is accredited by the ANSI-ASQ National Accreditation Board (ANAB). ANAB is a member of the International Accreditation Forum Multilateral Recognition Agreement.
For our clients, this means that the registration obtained from TRC is recognized across the globe.
"Accreditation body members of the IAF are admitted to the MLA only after a most stringent evaluation of their operations by a peer evaluation team which is charged to ensure that the applicant member complies fully with both the international standards and IAF requirements. Once an accreditation body is a member of the MLA it is required to recognize the certificates issued by certification/registration bodies accredited by all other members of the MLA .... The consequence of joining the IAF MLA is that ISO 9001 conformity assessment certificates issued by certification/registration bodies accredited by any one of the members of the MLA will be recognised in the world wide IAF program.(http://www.iaf.nu/mla.asp)."
So what is accreditation and what does it mean to you?
Much like the registration activities that TRC performs, accreditation means TRC is required to maintain a quality management system based on the requirements of
Guide 62: General Requirements for Bodies Operating Assessment and Certification/Registration of
Quality Systems as well as the requirements of ISO 9001:2000, ISO 17021, AS 9104 and AS 9014 and additional requirements as set down in ANAB's advisories. Further, the ANAB and representatives of aerospace OEM's review the avtivities of TRC's office and its auditors on an
annual basis to be certain that TRC continues to meet those requirements. By following these guidelines and advisories, TRC ensures that the services you receive consistently
meet with approval of internal and external reviewers.
Capabilities
TRC provides registration to organizations in a variety of different industries and sectors. TRC is required to submit sufficient evidence to ANAB to support our ability to provide
effective audits within IAF Scope Categories. Some categories require TRC to undergo a witness audit to gain approval. These witness audits are dependent upon the risks associated within
the industry and the level of competencies needed by auditors. TRC has been approved to issue accredited registration certificates to organizations within the following industries:
